Support

In what way do you intentionally connect with your intuition, your soul, your Higher Power?

Certificate of Completion

When the word “support” first appeared to me as one of the essential elements for successfully embarking on a major life change, I had a few clear examples from my life in mind: My business coach, my ADHD coach, my colleagues, and the faculty at Presence-Based Coaching, and some of my dearest friends. However, I would be remiss if I didn’t highlight a part of my journey into deeper personal development, which is my connection to a higher power.

Universe

Over the past 6 months, I committed to creating a spiritual practice that resonated deeply with my most authentic self. What that looks like is completely different for each person. So, as you read this, I ask that you keep that in mind. For me, it’s a morning routine comprised of meditation, breathwork, and free writing which grounds me in the present moment and allows me to connect with my inner wisdom. I’ll usually simply light a candle to begin. As I dropped into my sitting practice today, I felt an impulse to clean up my office space before I began, and what resulted was the creation of a little altar, for lack of a better word (pictured above). Next, I opened Insight Timer, an app I use for meditation, and read the daily inspirational message: “If you are on the right path you will find that invisible hands are helping” ~ Joseph Campbell. My heart swelled when I looked up at what I had placed around the candle. There were keepsakes representing the many beautiful people who have supported me over the past decade or so in my professional and personal life!

As I closed my eyes, the Universe gave me a clear channel to connect and flow. I gave and received loving kindness from the village of souls who care for and help me and my family. The sensation was that of complete openness in my body, mind, and heart space. Then, my attention drifted to my 3rd eye, my inner self, and then to my ancestors. I felt contact with my family who have crossed over from this physical life. I sent abundant Light outward through the galaxy. A sense of hope and positivity filled my whole being! I wish l could capture all of what I felt and “downloaded” in those 20 minutes from whatever force exists beyond this physical plane. It simply boiled down to this: I am resilient, I am safe, I am held, I am loved.

I’m so grateful to the beautiful souls in my life, both near and far. You all are in my heart and give me the strength and courage to do hard things, especially at this time when so much of my life is changing. We are journeying together and revealing our deepest inner beauty and Light. That’s what I am certain of. What is in store for us as we step into the next level is going to be profoundly powerful!

Natalie and her sister-friend

A couple of days after this, I experienced some emotionally charged moments which gave way to thoughts of uncertainty, doubt, and the urge to pull an emergency eject button on this whole plan! I found myself stuck in a funk of negative thinking. Then, out of the blue, I received a much-needed phone call from a sister-friend who somehow knew I needed some perspective-shifting. She reminded me that this move represents the end of a rich and beautiful time in my life and an invitation by the Universe to stretch myself in order to receive something bigger and even more fulfilling. She said, “Every box you tape up should finish with a happy dance! You should be smiling with every painful step in this part of the process because it’s getting you ready for the adventure that awaits you!” Boy, did I need to hear that!! Mr. Campbell used the word “invisible” to describe the helping hands in his quote above. I believe those hands are visible when we are able to open our consciousness through the practice of daily connection with our souls. Suddenly, we can see and feel those supportive hands very clearly! The more consistent I am with tapping into that place, I find the more frequently I’m struck with wonder and amazement at life’s funny coincidences and the beauty that surrounds me at any given moment. The sensation I get fuels me with the courage to head into the unknown future with more curiosity and openness.
